11.2.2 Public access to libraries Information about the activities of the Information Resource Center (up to December 2021)
Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering Information Resource Center was established by the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 20, 2006 PD-381
The information resource center is located on the 3rd floor of the main building of the institute.
The total area of the building is 1921 square meters. The rooms are equipped with all equipment
There are 471,919 volumes and 131,578 titles of literature in the general fund of the IRC. Of these, there are 157,435 scientific literatures, 106,968 textbooks, 137,813 study guides, and 69,703 fiction books. 87308 titles have electronic literature.

The number of literature based on the Latin script available in IRC:
Total literature - 18491 volumes, 1251 titles.
Of which: textbooks - 6006 numbers, 264 titles,
educational manuals - 8474 numbers, 359 titles,
fiction - 531 numbers, 144 titles,
scientific literature - 3480 numbers, 484 titles
In 2021, a total of 2199 pieces of literature were accepted.

In the main educational building where IRC is located, there are 5 departments belonging to IRC, 4 computer classrooms, modern computers for 78 seats are provided with Internet and Wi-Fi zones. There are 2 classrooms with 78 seats.
In addition, there is 1 study hall in student residence No. 2, and 3 branches in regional departments of Bulungur and Jomboy districts.
Electronic copies of various literature, teaching-methodical collections and literature needed by readers in the study hall, computer classes, as well as the channel "SamSACEI electronic library" and the group "SamSACEI IRC" and the site "arm.samdaqi.edu.uz" in Telegram available, students have the opportunity to receive any study materials on the site and remotely, via the Internet.
Today, IRC has 87,308 electronic textbooks and educational literature, which are available for use by professors and teachers, as well as students and masters.
Based on the demands and suggestions of book readers, today it has been enriched with modern and fiction literature. 750 volumes and 211 titles of fiction and textbook literature were purchased from the fund of the institute.
There are 27 staff units in the Information Resource Center, of that 11 are highly educated, 5 are employees with secondary specialization in librarianship, 8 are employees with secondary special education and 3 are educated people.
The information resource center is equipped with 78 modern computers, 1 copier, 1 printer and other technical equipment. Students are using the computer classroom and classrooms of the Information Resource Center. Daily attendance is 143 people.
Newspapers admitted to IRC are taken in 18 titles and 41 copies, magazines in 11 titles and 11 copies, according to the order, periodicals are collected in collective volumes in the training hall of ARM. Newspapers were kept for five years according to the current regulations. In 2022, 26,030,856 soums were allocated by the Institute for subscription to periodical publications.
449 professors-teachers, 20 researchers and researchers, 4834 undergraduate and graduate students subscribed to IRC service. Average annual traffic between IRC and Bulungur and Jomboy branches is 48,378 people.
The level of available literature in ARM is 92%.
Today, the IRC provides technical schools, colleges and lyceums with modern textbooks and manuals and electronic copies of newly published textbooks and manuals by professors.
In 2021, teachers of the institute created a total of 81 titles of textbooks and study guides. 55 of them are educational manuals, 26 are textbooks.
